Review Trial Balance

You can review your trial balance for a specific period or year to date at a glance from the Trial Balance screen available from the Trial Balance menu. In addition, from this screen, you can access the Trial Balance Entry screen to enter or import an unadjusted trial balance for any period for which transactions have not been entered.

For each selected period, you can customize the trial balance to show the columns you want, and drill down from transactions and adjustments to the underlying detail. For each line, you can also select a tickmark and enter your own notes to help you to keep track of the accounts you have analyzed or reviewed on the Trial Balance screen.

By default, the Trial Balance screen displays the Beginning Balance, Transactions, Unadjusted Balance, Adjustments, and Adjusted Balance columns, as well as the Tickmarks and Notes columns.

In addition to these, you can add the Tax Adjustments and Tax Balance columns to track federal tax adjustments, or the Income Statement and Balance Sheet columns to show debits and credits for income statement and balance sheet accounts.
