There are two separate Dashboards, the Financial Dashboard and the Client Accounting Services Dashboard. The Dashboards display overviews of the status of each of your company's clients, providing essential information at a glance, and helping you focus on items that require attention.
To open a Dashboard, click the Dashboard icon on the right-hand side vertical menu and select Financial or Client Accounting Services from the menu that appears. Each Dashboard provides a number of panels displaying targeted information.
Graphs and charts are available for reviewing. You can manipulate these graphs and charts on screen as you review the data to help you in your analysis. For most panels, you select the period to display the information you need.
Other information appears in list format. In many cases, links within the lists move you to more specific details for an item, or to the next task you need to accomplish regarding that item. For example, clicking a vendor name in the list of Past Due Vendor Bills on the Client Accounting Services Dashboard opens the Bill Management>Approve Bills screen allowing you to approve the bill for payment.
Click the heading of a panel on a Dashboard to collapse it, or to expand it to view its content. And, customize your view of many of the lists using the column headers to view the information in ascending or descending order based on a particular column.
A short description of each panel available on the Financial Dashboard follows:
Net Profit (Loss) Comparison - a line chart of profit (loss) for each period comparing current and prior year.
Profit vs Cash Flow - final cash flow measure in simple terms. You can select the period of data to display. Choose either current calendar to compare the current year's data with the previous year, or last year to compare that year's data with data from the year before that.
Revenue/Expense Comparison - a line chart of revenue and expense for each period of current and prior year.
Budget Actual/Expense Comparison - a line chart comparing budget and actual expense and income for each period of the current open year.
Expense Analysis (YTD) - a pie chart of expenses, sorted into major categories. Use the Group Expense Pie Chart By option to display expenses grouped by accounts or classes.
